Description

Making a starter from scratch may sound like an easy task. But once you start, it feels like a roller coaster. There is no one single recipe for success, it’s all about being able to understand what happens with your starter and how to adjust on the go

 

In this 2h online session, I will guide you through the steps of making a starter from scratch, helping you to understand that every starter is unique and can develop in its own way & at its own pace

 

We will cover

  • what a sourdough starter is and all about the fermentation
  • the key variables that will affect the development of your starter & how to adjust (flour, temperature, humidity)
  • the key signs to look after & how to adjust to maximise the chances to success
  • how to recognise that your starter is ready to be used
  • how to care for your starter once it’s ready (where to store it, how often to feed and most importantly how to feed it, feeding ratios and how this affect its performance)

One week prior to the session, you will be provided with the link to join the live session

Should you have any questions with regards to the class before you book, feel free to get in touch.

 

Every session will be recorded and a link will be provided to all participants. Access to the recording is valid for one month after the session.

Cancellation policy

If you book a seat and in the meantime you change your mind or you cannot make it anymore on that date, that’s ok. A refund can be issued as long as you notify me via email (sourdoughexplained@gmail.com) up to 24h before the start of the session. You can also choose a new date instead, should you still want to join the class at a different date

 

A minimum of 5 participants is required for the session to take place, otherwise I might have to reschedule it. In this case a refund will be arranged should the new proposed date not be suitable for the participants.
